The Acquired Humanity Deficiency Disease( AHDD)

Have you ever thrown stones at chickens which were mating? (No one is going to laugh at you so you better confess😅).

Have you ever wished that your classmate who were always the first in class gets sick so that he or she fails the test or exam (again, no one is going to judge you if you admit that)?

If you have been there too, enchantée, my name is Lise and I welcome you in this talk about what I called the Acquired humanity deficiency disease or jealousy to be precise.

Jealousy is a terrible disease whose causal agent are low self-esteem, low self-confidence. Jealousy makes a person compares himself or herself to others, wanting to possess every good thing that others have, hating people for their achievements and doing all of that without remembering that each person is unique. Jealousy is the root of all evil, stop blaming money!  what is so paining is the fact that people can get jealous for a person they don’t even know in person. It is so selfish when a person wants to acquire every good thing in the world, forgetting that he or she is not the only one who lives in it. It is terrible to hate a person just because he or she is succeeding (so fellow friends who have thrown stones at mating chickens, what on earth were we doing?😐😏😅)

Let me end this by telling you that lighting other’s light does not dim yours. Lifting others up does not always put you down. Supporting your fellow people’s hustle does not limit what you can achieve. Applauding your friend’s success cannot stop you from succeeding too. You are unique and the fact that there is only you in the whole world is a superpower. Do not ever look down on yourself, do not ever envy others but instead dream your own dreams, set your own goals, plan how you will achieve them and you will definitely get there. And please if you get successful, remember that my favorite drink is passion fruit juice.

A world within World

 A world within World.

With all of this terrible mess ,

Sirens and loud alarms,

Thorns and car horns,

Murder and rape,

Bloodshed,intense sorrow and depression,

Fake news , lies and heartbreaks ,

Son of man , why don't you die!?

Son of Adam, can you count raindrops?

Daughter of Eve,can you collect all drops in your container!?

You think that you can't and it's obvious but hear me out.

I wanna speak of a field called life, a field full of hidden treasures.

In the field called life,He planted uncountable seeds of hope.

He commanded it to fall, the phenomenal rain, where each drop make the seed of hope bloom.

He has engaged us in eternal treasure hunt , finding those seeds will keep us alive.

Son of man ,why don't you die?

What makes you hold on even  when things fall apart?

He made sure you were made with that awesome power, the power of creation.

From love you were made, in love you live and you won't feel alive until you spread love.

There's a world within our world,

There's a sweet escape to all this chaos,

There's a safe haven we can go to whenever we want,

That's a world of  love and hope, a world within world.

Give thanks with a grateful heart

A life full of negativity, constant self-criticism and envy is not worth living. Life, according to me, should be lived in gratitude and satisfaction. Though we may not get everything we need and want, there is always something to be grateful for.

For life which is one of the precious things we got without paying, for health since a healthy soul resides in a healthy body, we should be grateful.

For family, our brothers and sisters either by blood or by choice, for people who can’t give up on us even if the whole world can turn its back against us, we should be grateful.

For everyone who mention us in their daily prayer be it collectively or individually, for everyone who once or more than once in their lives were kind to us though we were total strangers, for anyone who helped us in any way and helped us to make it this far, we should be grateful.

For every talent or natural ability, for education (in any form), for growth, for everything that nourishes our souls and connect us to the Maker, we should be absolutely grateful.

For every driving force that we have in us be it a dream, a vision, passion, an ambition or anything else that makes us want to live longer or something that makes us wake up no matter how lazy we could be, we should be grateful.

The last but not the least, we should be grateful for everything that didn’t work out the way we wanted, planned or expected because in this lies a great secret related to our purpose and God (or the Universe)’s ultimate plan for our lives.

A grateful life is free of complains because everything seems to be enough …you simply have to be grateful for what you have while working for whatever else you need to achieve. Peace be upon you.

The ugly duckling

I was in senior five when I first read the story of the ugly duckling and I really loved it. It captured my attention and there was surely something attractive about it but I was not sure of what it was. Later on, I discovered that I was to use it one day. Here I am now talking to you dear reader, hoping that through this your spirit will get uplifted.

Mother and father ducks had four beautiful ducklings and one adopted ugly duckling. That poor little thing was so ugly that no one wished to talk to him. Other ducklings were yellow while the ugly one was a bit brown. He was totally different from them and they were so unkind towards him. One day he decided to fly away from home hoping to find peace but everywhere he goes he was rejected due to the fact that he was ugly and different. Poor duck! To cut the story short, the ugly duckling finally found a place to live near a beautiful lake where he was to spend time alone. Then after some days on one fine morning, the ugly little duckling decided to look at his reflection in water and to his surprise, he found out that he was not a duck. He was a swan! A beautiful white swan mama mia!

Nowadays, society has its norms and criteria against which it defines what the ideal beauty and success should be. You will see some people bullying others and body shaming them. They be like look at your face, belly, height, cheeks, and so on. They laugh at beardless men; they laugh at fat women. There are a lot of motivational “wake up before 5:00 am “speakers and so on. What I want to say right now is this: beauty is an opinion, life has to be lived according to one’s terms and no one should dare compare you to anyone else.  Do not even insult yourself by comparing yourself to others for you are unique and there is surely beauty within. Take your time alone to admire yourself, your strengths, weaknesses and everything that makes you you.  Do not listen to your insecurities for they do nothing but draining your energy. Accept who you are, work for what you want and sooner or later, you will discover that being different isn’t actually a bad thing.

To a wild rose

 TO A WILD ROSE

Plucked out of nowhere,

Planted in a roundabout,

Everything is like a merry go round.

The world is busy dancing,

Seasons change in style but after all,

Everyone will toast to a wild rose.

She lied when she said she can tame a lion,

She boasted that she was a social creature.

She lied when she thought she can survive a cage,

Hardly did she knows she can't be tamed.

Hardly had she learned that she was a lioness who craved her own lane,

But yes, she too will toast to a wild rose.

To a wild rose that loves to be watched as it blooms from ashes and

To its fragrant healing petals.

To a wild rose , a pluviophile princess who fears thunders.

To a wild rose,  a jewel which is hard to find and impossible to forget.

I OF THE MOON( A poem dedicated to me by  ABCpoets )

They say it's hard to see the frame when you're in the picture

Stuck in here

Quite and cold

Eyes are heavy as if I'm going to cry cause every time I see you running

I can't talk

I can't walk

I can't work

My body's weak as church mouse but I am not afraid of you

You've learnt to swim in the ocean of sharks

Now... I am over the moon cause you got a new bike

Climbing like baboons

This track is a stack of smiling snakes if you can't be wise they will bite your bum

Be you

Be full of Beans

Do it

Find your feet

Go,run

Find your extra mile

Don't miss any

Don't miss the boat

Talk wise

Don't sit on the fence

Read their mind

Hit the books

Grab your pad and a pen

Poke your nose into it

Till I come rain and shine I'll see you in a heaven.

Awake ye mortals

The Universe is multidimensional and the same applies to us children of the Universe. We have many versions, we can vibrate on any frequency of our interest, we can attract any kind of energy we want and we are absolutely limitless. The question is, once something though it may be as tiny as a microbe hold us back we then fail to use our full potentials. In us live two opposite forces which must be kept in balance so that we live well. Once one exceeds another then some sorts of problems arise. Those force are The good and The bad (Yin and Yang, Light and Darkness, Feminine and Masculine,) and they operate in us and it is absolutely okay. There is absolutely no such thing as sin (Nova, you’re probably high), there is only experience which is needed for our own growth. You can say that something is good or bad but it is the intention someone had while doing that thing that defines everything. Awake ye mortals

I have my life as a conspiracy theorist and I have my life as a religious woman and it sometimes become a challenge for me to choose which one to live at its fullest but after all I end up choosing living, experiencing things, growing, meditating and of course writing. The way that I sometimes feel that this life is all that there is and the way I think that life is endless makes me wonder if life has even a meaning. I badly want to criticize and shake every belief and theory that people have in God or life. Some comedies never cease to amaze me, all based on some sort of guy who died for people ‘s sins (Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Lord of Lord, King of Kings, Prince of Peace and the last but not the least the Lion of Juda). There are a lot of lies associated with this but since thinking is considered as a sin, I’ll say no more.  What I want to say is this: please do not hold yourself back from criticizing, thinking and questioning. It is not a sin. If something is worth believing, then it surely won’t be vulnerable to critics. it will pass the tests and still be convincing. If God knew that wondering and questioning his existence would be a sin, then why would he have placed a brain in our skulls? Peace be upon you, I wish you growth and abundance.

RAIN DROPS

Hello everyone. Muraho! Here is another poems collection in English and  in Ikinyarwanda. Enjoy and do not hesitate to ask me the meaning ...☺

MY COLORLESS INNER BUTTERFLY

Mine is not blue as Charles's

Mine is probably colorless

Mine has already accepted  the fact that it has to be hidden.

Mine will only reveal itself to few trusted people who won't judge.

Mine has wings but it's not a bird

Mine is probably a butterfly

Mine cries its eyes out sometimes when it rains

Mine dances  only to melodies which speak to the heart.

Mine looks innocent but deep down it is stained

Mine has flaws , mine always want to go unnoticed but alas it glows ,shines and gets caught off guard

Mine sometimes want to give up and escape but some sort of invisible ropes tied around its neck pull it back

Mine is a mischief, mine is stubborn.

Mine loves arguments but it ends up holding itself back for the sake of maintaining the "image"

Mine finds it enjoyable to upset me by creating scenes that won't probably happen.

Mine ends up hurting others when it gets hurt

Whenever we talk, we all burst into

tears. We never understand each other but yet we love each other so tenderly.

YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE

I may not be the richest

I may not be the most beautiful

I may not have sweet voice

I may look weak and vulnerable

I may not be able to reach everyone

But I'm sure my poetry will help me touch all of you

I'll be your friend

I'll be your company

I'll be your pillow to hug for comfort

I'll be the bridge to your dreams

I'll make sure that you are safe.

Like Van Allen belt, i will protect your heart

I will make you believe in love again

I will tie you carefully with strings of hope

I will never let you go down as long as muse runs in me.

Do not worry because neither pride nor death will do us apart because:

As long as poetry resides in me, I will pour myself on papers so that them papers will comfort you after I'll be gone.

When I'll be gone my dear, burn me and let the wind spread my ash for the world to breathe in love and hope.

THE DIVINE COMEDY

Awake ye mortals, till when will you keep  slumbering ?

The fruit of knowledge ye have devoured but yet you still call 'em patri

You are the lost sheep who keep running away, hiding  from the Father, throwing yourself at the mercy of fear, guilty and shame.

Ye keep believing in divine comedy where the main actor is  some angry guy with beard who lives up there.

Awake ye mortals and tap into your knowledge and wisdom.

Grab the fruit of life and eat it the way you like or even drink it.

Awake and hear me as I remind you who you really are. You are eternal creatures of love and light.
