Midway in our life’s journey, there are summits in the corner of the path that seem sharp but leaving no intimations. We meet a lot of people in this life, we get along for a while, we sometimes get tempted into thinking that we will stay together forever but then in a blink of an eye, each one takes his or her own path. Midway in our life’s journey o vague thickest forest of our souls, tears are shed and consciousness is swept leaving broken stumps! Midway in our life’s journey, the sun shines bright; we live, we love, we dance until our heels hurt, we party hard from dawn until dusk when the night darkens, making a perfect match.  Whether the journey shines, whether it darkens or whether we lose it, you are always sealed to the source and likeness of your fate…friends.

There is nothing in the whole world which can compares to the value of a true friend. Take a little time and think about how a simple “hello!” or “excuse me” has turned into a strong friendship that you can’t support losing. Take again a little time and think about your best friend…yes, that idiot who wears your clothes, eats your food, unplugs your charger just to charge his or her own phone, that person whom you wonder if he or she even has a brain! Yes, that person who scolds you for not taking care of yourself, that person who always got you even when the world turns its back against you, that person who is able to understand you even when you are silent, that person who can travel for five hours just to see you for thirty minutes, that person who can even take a bullet for you!!

True friendship is built on honesty, love and loyalty. It means being there for each other, keeping promises and hiding nothing from each other. True friend will listen to your non senses, tell you that it is nonsense but still listen to some more. A true friend will not be your “yes man” person because he or she won’t agree with you every time but still he /she won’t make you feel bad for being who you are. Blessed are those who find true friends for they will never face the world alone.

Speaking of friends and friendship vibes, if you are in Kigali and you want to take your friends out, do not hesitate  to take them to Eagle's bar and grill. It is located at Kabuga and they will treat you and your friends right.

Say Yes to Love

This is for you dear reader. You may be older or younger than me but what I’m going to tell you is as old as time itself. 

As I was wandering, I wondered why there is too much hatred, hypocrisy and jealousy in the world. I was like why do people have something negative to say to a person who is doing his or her best to rise? Why do some people get stabbed in the back by the ones they trust? Why do people hate others for no reason? Why is it hard to live in harmony? Why do some people choose to take away their own lives(suicide)? All of these brought me to this conclusion: There is chaos in the world just because we don’t choose love over everything. I know it is hard to choose love! Imagine growing up with no family just because somewhere, someone wiped away your friends and relatives! Can you love that someone? Imagine losing taste in life just because you entrusted your heart to a son of Adam or a daughter of Eve who did nothing but shattering it into pieces! Can you dare trust anyone again? Try to walk in the shoes of someone who was robbed by those he or she was trying to help! If it was you, can you find it easy to help people again?

So many people have lost their beliefs in humanity, so many people have lost the taste of life. You will witness many individuals who are quiet and who don’t like to be friends with anyone just because of the fear of betrayal and deception, you will also witness people who have sworn not to love again just because their hearts were so badly broken into pieces, some have even sworn not to marry just because of the testimonies of people whose marriage went wrong…all of those people are so afraid of living! This have created a cycle of fear, hatred and mistrust which will be passed through generations unless you and I choose to break it by choosing love and forgiveness over revenge, ego and selfishness. No matter how much people messed your life up, love them anyway. Find even one single reason to love people and if you can’t find any I propose you to love them just because they are humans and to treat them accordingly! Do not let what bad people do to you prevent you from believing in humanity. I personally have trust issues; I have been through a lot but what I can say is that revenge is not good. Eye for an eye and the whole world will be blind!  There is also nothing good in holding on to anger and hatred, it is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

Love is the only power which will help us to break the cycle I have been talking about because real love is kind, patient, it forgives, it never boasts, it does not envy, it is not proud, it is not self-seeking, it does not dishonor others, and it is not easily angered. Love never fails, please say yes to love.

The Moon Represents My Feelings

Hello everyone! It’s been a while without fiction and poetry things.  Today I have chosen to walk in the shoes of someone who is terribly missing that special someone in her life (I feel women better for I am a woman too). I hope I speak for your dear sweet soul. Do not worry, you will meet him (or even her, why not?) and you will get to be in each other’s arms again.

 

The moon represents my feelings

 

The clock tick and my heart beats faster. It is like a punishment; every minute seems like eternity.

Every song reminds me of us, every joke hits differently, I’m about bursting.

 The sun rises and the first thought to pop in my mind is you!

 I spend the whole day laughing away the sweet ticklish pain that comes with missing you, I talk to my friends and I do all my chores, I make sure that I make myself so tired as I wait eagerly for my friend and savior, the night with its glorious moon that represents my feelings for you. When the night comes, o deceitful night, every memory of us pop in my mind in a song form and yes, I dance to the music of time and things worsen.

I smile as I daydream locking myself in your chest, I blush as I remember that deep and charming look you give me whenever we are together…no please don’t laugh dear brain, this is something that your logic and reasoning can’t understand.

I only submit myself under the mercy of sweet dreams which take me away for a while and I pray that time flies faster so that we meet again.
